GO Fest 2016 hosted a series of outdoor concerts which make those spring nights pleasant and enjoyable. A concert line-up is expected to be announced soon. This year’s GO Fest will take place over the May Long Weekend, from May 19th to 22nd. Packed with arts and culture, sports, music and great food, the event is one you can’t miss! To get there, you’ll need to take the Sea to Sky Highway (highway 99) to Whistler. Once you’re here, you can plan your stay at the Whistler RV Park and Campground.
Carnival treats, bucking broncos, fair rides, great music and so much more await you in Surrey, B.C at the Cloverdale Rodeo and Country Fair. This is a great trip to take with your family or a close group of friends. Running from May 19th until May 22nd, the exhibition is a fun way to spend the long weekend with your family. The rodeo is just under twenty minutes from the Dogwood Campgrounds and RV Park, and a fifteen-minute drive to Peach Arch RV Park, which means you can spend the day checking out the rodeo, and still enjoy some marshmallows and camping under the stars at night in your RV. Getting to the rodeo is about a three-and-a-half hour drive from Kamloops. Pack accordingly for the weekend and enjoy a comfortable stay in the luxuries your new RV has to offer.
The best road trips include a mix of adventure and a tonne of good food. While you might enjoy those hotdogs and marshmallows in the evening, over the course of your trip, you’ll probably miss a good home-cooked meal. Those who choose to enjoy the festival will take a spin through a 70 kilometre route along the Whistler and Callaghan Valleys with a group of riders. At the end of the ride, you’ll be treated to a gourmet dish served by an award-winning chef who picks ingredients throughout the 70-kilometre route to incorporate into the dish. More information will be released closer to the date, but your RV offers plenty of space to pack your bikes should you choose to come along for the ride. Spring weather in Whistler is perfect for cycling, so even if you choose to skip the festival, many great trails and parks await you, whether you’re looking for world-class mountain biking or a casual ride on the paved Valley Trail boardwalk.
